DID YOU KNOW ?
-a man nearby sleeps in a porta-pot to keep warm at night.
- a man and wife are cold and sleeping under a railroad bridge to keep partially out of the weather and they don't have sufficient clothing or blankets
- a man wraps himself up with a carpet remnant to keep warm at night. He also sleeps under a bridge
- A woman 9 months pregnant lives nearby in a small car with no home to go back to.
-A man walks through the snow in the dead winter with only sandals on
- A man is hungry in the city and hasn't eaten in two days
- a man who is bound by alcohol will die tonight if he doesn't get a warm blanket. He can't take care of himself.
-Men and women are bound by drugs, sex, alcohol and other controlling problems and need a way out
- In Indianapolis alone on any single night there are nearly 3000 homless in one way or another in the city.
- In a single years time there are 13,000 homeless in Indianapolis and another 13,000 are near homeless because they are calling for rent assistance.
WE KNOW BECAUSE WE HAVE MET AND MINISTERED TO MANY OF THESE PEOPLE AND WE ARE MEETING MORE ALL THE TIME.

WHAT WE ARE DOING
Currently we are feeding the homeless every Saturday morning starting at 7:30am -9:00am in University Park on the corner of Pennsylvania & New York Street in Indianapolis Indiana. During this time we take turns in providing a meal for nearly 200 men / women. We start with prayer & devotions before the meal and continue with one on one witnessing, realtionship building, and prayer as we go along. Every week we minister to new people we haven't seen before and continue to build relationships with the ones we see every week. Also we pass out a weekly devotional paper that the men have come to love and appreciate. To many of these men this is the only church they attend. A street church. We also pass out tracts, bibles, hats, gloves, socks and other necessities as the Lord provides them. We have seen men get saved and come with us to church. We come back and pick up those wanting to attend church on Sunday night and provide a meal for them on the return back. This has been a blessed time to continue to develop relationships and see these men take one closer step toward a life headed in the right direction. This is a fruitfull ministry and we invite you to contact us if your interested in being a part in any way or for tips and suggestions on how to get a similar program started in your area.
